Technological advancements have brought prominent changes in banking operations. The intentions of consumers are shaped by technological as well as behavioral antecedents. This research study seeks to reconnoiter the impact of technological and behavioral antecedents on mobile banking consumers’ continuance intention of usage through the integration of renowned theories named TTF, DOI, ECM & UTAUT 02. The research design is built on the positivist approach comprehended by the quantitative method. The survey questionnaire has been used to gather data. The study has implemented PLS-SEM 3.0 to empirically validate the stated hypotheses. The sample size comprised of 234 mobile banking users in the settings of Karachi, Pakistan. The results indicate the strength of the model (R2) 71.8% whereas the predictive relevance (Q2) is 51%. Furthermore, price value, habit, satisfaction, word of mouth are significant antecedents of continuance usage intention whereas performance expectancy, hedonic motivation, social influence & effort expectancy are found to be insignificant. The study identifies statistically significant mediating role of satisfaction along with word of mouth in terms of task technology fit and confirmation. Literature is scarce about the constituents of mobile banking consumers’ continuance intention of usage; this study augments existing literature through its integrated theoretical framework comprised of consumer behavior & information system theories, moreover the philosophical underpinnings of mobile banking are also discussed. The findings will help managers, telecommunication companies and other stake holders to focus on technological & behavioral aspects of mobile banking users so that their satisfaction, experience, and task performance can be augmented.
