Construction industry is significant sector due to its participation in economic growth and delays in the constructions projects, which is highlighted as area of concern since last two decades. Although, project management experts determined root causes with corresponding solutions but the study for project performance with effect of contractual control and contractual adaptation is new streamline in the field of project management. This study emphasize to investigate project performance through contractual control and adaption while considering the moderating role of project governance in construction sector. Data for this study collected from middle-tier officials working in project based organizations in construction sector. Results revealed that, contractual control and adaptation significantly affects project performance whereas project governance moderates such relationships. This study impose implications for policy makers in construction sector and for other organizations.
